Reyon Pharmaceutical, the sole manufacturer of finished thrombin drug products in South Korea, announced that it has signed a Term Sheet with a leading global Japanese pharmaceutical and healthcare company for the strategic supply of thrombin. Through this agreement, the company is expected to accelerate its expansion into global markets.
The core of this Term Sheet encompasses a cooperative framework under which Reyon Pharmaceutical will supply its high-quality finished product, 'Reyon Thrombin', to the Japanese company for specific medical purposes.
Furthermore, both companies have agreed to jointly review the possibility of future business expansion in regions outside of Japan. Specific terms and conditions for each country will be separately discussed and finalized in the subsequent definitive agreement.
An official stated, "The signing of this Term Sheet is the result of earning trust in Reyon Pharmaceutical's unrivaled technical prowess and quality capabilities, following the partner company's visit to our new Chungju plant last year." The official added, "We will successfully drive cooperation in the Japanese market and, based on this success, continue to explore opportunities to expand into the global market."
The two companies plan to finalize the detailed terms of the agreement shortly and work in close collaboration with the goal of achieving rapid product registration and commercial supply.
Reyon Pharmaceutical possesses proven experience and a track record of sustaining long-term supplies of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) while satisfying Japan's stringent regulatory registration and quality standards. Following its recent successful local registration of MRSA antibiotic raw materials scheduled for supply to a Japanese original drug developer, the company stated that it intends to focus on driving stable commercialization for this thrombin collaboration as well, beginning with the Japanese market.
